"The reason that I decided to start a pet sitting company plus dog walking service was due to a sad situation with my Mother. What happened was that my Mom had two black Labradors that she loved dearly. She put them in a local kennel in Iowa where she lives so that she could come to meet my nephew (her new grandson) of 2 months. She came to my Sister's home for a week and we had a great visit. When she returned home to pick up her dogs from the kennel she received horrific news. One of the dogs had died and the other was terribly ill! The kennel claimed that the dogs must've been sick and washed their hands of it. My Mother was devastated and riddled with guilt. That was 9 years ago and she hasn't left her home in Iowa since!
I knew there must be more kennels mistreating pets in the world and as a result owners trapped in their homes. I started my company so I could care for your pet the way I care for my furry children and to prove to the world that there are better ways to find loving care for your pets when you travel! We are here for the pet's care and the owner’s peace of mind. We think of each pet as if it was our own and love it and care for it the way we do our own pets. I require that everyone who works for Pet Minded MUST have pets of their own and I observe how good they are with their four legged children before inviting them to join the Pet Minded Team!"
